The pictorial pieces are oil paint and graphite on recuperated, sanded down mdf board, painting in oil paints that I have mixed from natural, non-toxic earth pigments.
My sculptures are sewn from recuperated plastic, born from my horror at the amount of plastic we consume and throw out daily. In sewing, a transformative act in itself, I am hoping to renew and create something beautiful and serene out of a material that is invasive and troubling.

Drawing continues to be a primary mechanism of creation for me, as well as a process that reinforces my quest for interconnectedness with the natural and the intimate. These drawings are taken from my project Dessins Biophiliques, which is a collection of 100 drawings of fragments of living things that I found in my urban environment. Seeking relation, the act of drawing is a way fostering and fortifying my biophilic connection with each subject.
Mon projet Dessins Biophiliques est un regroupement d’une centaine de dessins de fragments du vivant, en graphite sur du papier carton recyclé, qui propose un regard critique et sensible sur notre relation avec la nature. J’ai trouvé les sujets de ce projet en déambulant dans la ville ou dans ma vie quotidienne et je les ai choisis pour leur résonance vibratoire et leur forme unique. Quand seulement un morceau de la totalité est donné, c’est à l’imagination de reconstruire, par une myriade de formes, la complexité de la somme. En mettant en lumière les microcosmes qui font partie d'un ensemble, on participe à la reconstruction imaginaire du tout.
